The Storyline of the Movie ‘Dear Zindagi’ The film revolves around a young cinematographer Kaira (Alia Bhatt). Kaira’s life was going well in Mumbai with her boyfriend and three best friends, yet everything self-destructs when she sleeps with Raghuvendra (Kunal Kapoor), a film producer, leading her to break up with her boyfriend.
Wanting to look for solace from Raghuvendra, Kaira attempts to meet him but instead finds out about his engagement with his ex-girlfriend. When it seems things couldn’t get any more awful, Kaira’s landlord evicts her from her apartment. Tired and with no place to go back to, Kaira leaves for Goa to live with her folks, with whom things have forever been off-kilter. When Kaira reaches Goa, she tracks down Dr. Jehangir (Shah Rukh Khan), a therapist, for her sleep deprivation.
Gradually and consistently, Kaira gets used to Dr. Jehangir and finds herself bonding with her younger brother. Kaira, with the help of Dr. Jehangir, starts opening up about her issues with her parents and finds new hope in life.
