Gunjan Saxena movie is based on true events, a girl who fought bravely against the odds and became the first-ever women fighter pilot in the Kargil War of 1999. The movie briefly tells us her story about how she reached closer and closer to her dreams with her father’s support and her strength, while how there were many who kept pulling her down.
The Storyline of Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl Movie The movie starts in Lucknow in 1984 where young Gunjan is seen fighting with her brother Anshuman for letting her see through from the airplane window. A kind air hostess sees this and takes Gunjan to the cockpit where she finds herself awestruck and sparks the enthusiasm of being a pilot when she grows up.
A few years later, Gunjan is congratulated by her parents for being so good in academics and they are planning to send her to a good high school. But Gunjan wants to be a pilot, her father supports her fully as she is very enthusiastic about it. Now for the same, Gunjan makes several attempts but comes back home dejected because of the high costs and her educational qualifications.
Then she sees an advertisement for entering the Indian Air Force and she finds the right place for herself. Anshuman who is himself serving in the army tells her that the Air Force is not the right place for a woman. Preparing for her tests, she finds out that she is 1 centimeter and seven kilograms overweight for the same, she is devastated again but decides to give a retest. Now what’s there to see is how she became an Air Force fighter after all this.
