Sachin Kundalkar directed a Hindi drama film titled Cobalt Blue, starring Prateik Bobber, Neelay Mehendale, and Anjali Sivaraman. The film follows two siblings who fall in love with the same man; ensuing events reveal one brother’s secret while another sister discovers what happened. The film has to be released on Netflix in 2021 but was postponed and finally released in April 2022
Cobalt Blue: Storyline
The Film story was based in Kerala in 1996. The main character of the movie Tanay Vidhyadhar Dixit is introduced in the starting who is Gay, and his family does not know about that. He continues his daily routine going to college and attending a class where his teacher asks the students, “What is Migration & Did any of you face Migration” Tanay raises his hand and answers that his family had to migrate from Mumbai Maharashtra to Kerala in the 1980s and it is very tough for his family. Tanay’s father got a job in Kerala because they had to migrate to Kerala.
The scene changes and Tanay’s brother tells him that their grandfather passed away. Tanay went home with her sister Anuja who loves to play hockey, and Tanay said that His grandfather was not a good man.
In the next shot, Tanay reads in the newspaper that Michale Jackson is coming to India, and he is very excited after reading this and shares this with his friend tortoise; also, he is happy because now he will get his grandfather’s room finally and he will get some personnel space to write a book.
Now again sees changes, and Anuja sees her grandma lying on the bed unconscious, so she calls a nun from a neighbour, and she checks Anuja’s grandmother’s pulse and tells Anuja’s family that she is dead. After listening to this, Anuja’s mother starts crying, and Tanay writes letters to their relatives.
The next day Anuja faces her period, and her neighbour Marry brings Anuja to her home and gives her the dress to change. Anuja sees the picture of Indian Actor Nagarjun in the cupboard of Nun Marry.
In the next shot, Tanay’s mother asks Tanay:” why do you use girls’ cream, and where is your Janau.” Tanay did not reply and went to college. On his way to college, Tanay saw students of his college protesting & the Student leader asked Tanay why he didn’t write a speech for him and gave him the invitation to the evening’s party.
Now Prateik Babbar the unnamed paying guest came to live at Tanay’s home and Tanay and his sister fell in love with him.To know the full story you have to watch the movie which is interesting.
