Potluck Season 1- An Overview This one right here is all about how a modern day family is willing to make all the efforts to close in the generation gap and to love each other despite having different windows to peek through when it comes to viewing the world.
The story revolves around Govind Shashtri, who for the better part of the eight episodes tries to enjoy retirement by trying to close in the communication gap in the family with all his might.
To do so, he comes with the brilliant idea of hosting a potluck every week. Being a firm believer of the words, “a family that eats together, stays together”, the guy tricks his family by making them believe that he wasn’t getting any better as time passed by. Will this gamble pay off, or will it backfire? Only time can tell.
The best thing about the show is that every member comes off as a person that you may have met in your life and that someone was pretty easy to connect with.
The directors have kept it real with the plot as it is all about relationships, love, and modern day parents who don’t understand why it is important for a kid to have a space of their own.
All in all, the sitcom is up there as one of the best in terms of depicting the concept of togetherness. A world where the Shastri’s battle against all the odds, while the audience shares a laugh.
