Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie was released in 2015 which received immense love by the people. The IMDb ratings aren’t that good but the movie really has an exceptional script. Shaandaar is a Hindi language romantic comedy movie produced by Anurag Kashyap who is also famous for producing movies like Masaan, Udta Punjab and many more.

Shaandaar Storyline Alia Arora is a girl who has sleep disorder. She has difficulty sleeping. Alia is an orphan who is adopted by Bipin Arora, Geetu Arora and mother Kamla Arora. Well both the women are money minded and they never look for Alia. But on the other hand, Bipin draws a dream for Alia every night so she can sleep peacefully. He loves her and her biological daughter Isha too.
Isha is set to marry in London and the whole family joins to attend the destination wedding. The family drives to the wedding and unfortunately Bipin’s car gets hit by Jagjinder Joginder “JJ’s” motorcycle. After a comical altercation both families get to know that JJ is the manager of Isha’s wedding. The marriage is between Aroras and Fundwanis who are very rich. Well Arora’s want their daughter to marry as they are kinda bankrupt.
The groom, Robin Fundwani is a fitness freak and often sees Isha as a joke because of her weight which upsets her every time. Due to family pressure she accepted the marriage proposal earlier and on the other side Robin accepted the marriage because of his behest brother. Later on, some heartwarming moments take place between J.J and Alia and they start falling in love with each other.
Bipin gets to know about it and rejects J.J as he is possessive for his daughters. He tries to separate them but fails everytime. Later on he confronts the truth in front of Alia that she is his biological daughter. Before marrying Geetu he had a girlfriend who gave birth to Alia.
But soon things get okay and Bipin finally starts accepting J.J.
Robin keeps hurting Isha as he insults her every time. But Arora’s are not even bothered by the way Robin treats Isha. They just want them to marry so they can cover the financial things easily. One day, Kamla and her son have an argument with each other and she dies after sneezing. To not stop the deal and marriage the others tell Fundwani’s that she is alive.
On the wedding day, Isha wears a beautiful dress and Robin laughs at her due to her weight again. She informs everyone that she won’t marry Robin which upsets Fundwani’s. Mr. Fundwani holds a gun and asks them to marry but later on everyone gets to know that even Fundwanis are bankrupt. J.J, Alia, Bipin, Isha and Robin fly and escape from there.
