Storyline of the Tamil Movie “Teddy” Srividya Purushottaman, or Sri, is a college student who helps a man who has gone through a miserable accident, and during this, she injures her hand as well. To get her wound treated, she goes to a hospital, where they give her IV drugs and which results in an artificially induced coma, making her unable to move. When she wakes up, she is provided with the medicine, and she catches her soul being transferred to a teddy bear.
On the other hand, there is Shivanarayanan, or Shiva, who is an unemployed graduate. He is suffering from OCD along with Eidetic memory, making him learn things faster than normal people. One night Shiva fights with some goons to protect a teenager. The teddy with Sri’s soul in it sees everything and meets Shiva on the following morning. At first, he thinks that he’s dreaming but soon believes her. Sri asks Shiva to make her meet her boyfriend, Rishi, only to find only that he is a fraud and is left heartbroken.
Later, Shiva promises to Sri’s parents to find her. Now both of them tie up together and decide to find Sri’s body so that she can return to her own body as her parents request Shiva to find their daughter. During their investigation, they find Sri’s body which has a barcode on it. It is evident that the hospital is involved in some mysterious activities.
