Wedding Season
The synopsis for the film goes as follows, “Pressured by their parents to find spouses, Asha (Pallavi Sharda) and Ravi (Suraj Sharma) pretend to date in order to survive a summer of weddings— but find themselves falling for each other as they struggle to balance who they are with who their parents want them to be.”
The Storyline of the Movie “Wedding Season” Asha played by (Pallavi Sharda ) is an economist who works in microfinance and has broken her engagement. But, like typical Indian mothers Suneeta (Veena Sood ), is concerned about the future of her daughter and wants to get her settled. She even creates a dating profile for herself against the advice of her husband “Vijay (Rizwan Manji ). But their date does not go well, but Asha convinces Ravi to keep on pretending that they are dating to ease the pressure from her parents and relatives. But they eventually start liking each other and Asha gets to know that Ravi is a wealthy DJ called DJ Spellbound.
Ravi supports Asha in doing what she wants and grabbing a respectful position in a reputed firm in London. But, Suneeta makes a mistake in the text Asha sends to her sister (Arianna Afsar ) and thinks she is about to get engaged to Ravi. And, then the families plan the lunch, but Asha and Ravi end up fighting with each other. Asha then ends the relationship and Ravi has an argument with his parents.
Priya then gets nervous and cold feet at her wedding, but Asha handles her and encourages her to marry Nick. There Asha sees Ravi sitting and talking to another woman. Asha feels that she truly loves Ravi and wants to reconcile. At the reception party, Priya and Nick introduce DJ Spellbound at the reception. In the end, Ravi reconciles with his parents and gets together with Asha.
