The Storyline of the Yaariyan Movie The movie opens on a university campus set in Gangtok, Sikkim, where five friends named Lakshya, Jiya, Saloni, Pardy, and Neil are always busy having fun and experiencing the best days of their college life. It is revealed that Lakshya is the son of the martyred army officer but he has no respect for him as he blames him for leaving him and his mother behind alone.
Coming back to the other characters, Jiya is a college bombshell, Saloni believes in being focused, Pardy is a drummer, and Neil is a biker. However, these five aimless fellows get chosen for the competition challenged by the Australian businessman who wants to build a casino over their college and this competition is the only way to stop this procedure.
The competition involves five rounds of which the first three would be held in Australia and the remaining two in India. They are all sent to Australia where Lakshya excitedly meets his cousin and best friend Debu. The first round begins when the team learns that their band’s song has been stolen by the competitors. They protest against it during which Debu gets brutally injured and rushed to the hospital.
