Another mystery-thriller film from the South-Indian cinema. 12th Man is a 2022 film directed by Jeethu Joseph. The movie stars numerous famous actors like Mohanlal.
The movie had various teams working behind it, the original background songs are composed by Anil Johnson. The photography teams took the whole 48 days and even worked post-production. The movie was shot in a custom-built mansion in a resort in Kulamavu. The movie has now been released on the famous OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.
12th Man- The Plot A group of 11 people is gathered to celebrate the bachelor’s party of their friend Siddharth. It includes several of his college friends and their wives along with his fiancé. However, they are somehow disturbed by this man named Chandrashekhar who asks for some alcohol from them, they alleviate him and send him away and get back to their party.
After a while, at dinner, they get into an argument where they discuss how they are friends but still have some secrets from their friends and even spouses. So in order to resolve this, they play a game where they all keep their phones in one place and decide to publicly announce each text message they get and keep each phone call on speaker. This leads to the revelation of many hidden secrets. The main conflicts start when Siddharth receives a phone call and one of his friends asks for the abortion pills he used when he had one of their group members pregnant. Now the situation is when everyone starts to think that he has had an affair with one of their group members.
Well, that’s not when the actual story starts, it is when one of their friend’s wives named Shiny dies on the nearby viewpoint. And the truth about Chandrashekhar comes out that he’s actually an undercover ACP. Now he starts to investigate the case by questioning each of them who are now pissed and have zero trust in each other.
