Netflix’s exclusive first horror movie of the year 2020 “Ghost Stories” is available to watch for subscribers. While trying to start the era of fear again, some different content has come out. Four directors have made it, namely Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar. There is one film, four stories, and four parts. So each of them will tell you different stories.
The Storyline(s) of the Movie Ghost Stories:
By Zoya Akhtar– The first story of this film is directed by Zoya Akhtar. Janhvi Kapoor and Surekha Sikri are in the lead roles. This story is about a nurse and her old-age patient. A nurse who is serving a strange patient, whose son has left her to die. This part of the film is quite simple. The mode of suspense has been used instead of sound for fear. Jhanvi’s acting is very good. However, Surekha has also done well. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t use any gruesome scenes to scare you.
Story 2: By Anurag Kashyap– Anurag Kashyap narrated the story in his own style. It is quite complicated. Shobhita Dhulipala, Zachary Braj, and a camera play important roles in it. Seeing this part makes me feel more disgusted. This entire part is shot in low light and color. Sometimes it feels like black and white. In this, Shobhita is shot nude, in which the camera is used brilliantly. In one scene, the main character Neha eats her fetus.
Shobhita Dhulipal is fine in acting, while Zachary Braz who plays the role of a child, has won.
Story 3: By Dibakar Banerjee– Dibakar Banerjee directed the best part of the entire film. His story involves two children and zombies. You will see such zombies for the first time. Sukant Goyal and Aditya Shetty have done amazing acting. It also has a sense of fear along with suspense, which is running around you. There is a dialogue in this part, ‘ve kha gaye sabko’, which sounds right in many ways.
The story of immense hunger which is shown in this movie is very sensitive. This story is both scary and emotional.
By Karan Johar: Karan Johar has once again tried to show a brilliant set. In the story, the madness of someone who is afraid of fear is visible. In this part, Karan Johar has used all the techniques that are used for scares. Like a loud voice, someone suddenly coming from behind, and an emotionless character.
Mrinal Thakur and Avinash Tiwari played important roles in this episode. Avinash and Mrinal also succeeded to leave an impact.
