Two unemployed men and their tenant, in desperate need of money, take advantage of a ransom call that had gone wrong.
Released in 2000 Hindi Movie, ‘Hera Pheri’ is the first installment of the Hera Pheri franchise. The movie is a remake of the 1989 Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking.’ ‘Hera Pheri’ has become one of the best Hindi Comedy Films ever made. The movie was well received by the public and is still appreciated for its depiction of the situation of a middle-class family in India.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Hera Pheri’ The film revolves around three characters; Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty), and Baburao (Paresh Rawal). It begins with Shyam looking for a job at a bank. Unable to get the job, he angrily leaves the bank. On his way out, Shyam bumps into Raju and thinks of him as a pickpocketer. Shyam follows him but stops chasing when he feels he has misunderstood Raju. He then meets Baburao, a garage owner, to rent a room, unaware that Raju is also a tenant. When the two meet, they both mock each other, leading to fights that Baburao resolves.
But their bickering becomes rivalry when Shyam finds out about Raju tricking him into signing the Non-Objection Certificate for Anuradha (Tabu). The film continues with Raju and Shyam getting caught in financial troubles, and they have to devise a plan to solve them. But they didn’t have to think for too long, as the opportunity had presented itself when they received a call for ransom via cross-connection.
The three agree to call the real grandfather posing as the kidnapper, and ask for double the amount. They have a perfect plan made but will everything go according to it?
