National crush of India and Yashoda starrer- Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s much-awaited Shaakuntalam is all ready to hit the theatres on 14 April . Even the first look at this mythological tale received a lot of positive reactions. The trailer of the movie showcased impressive VFX effects and was a treat to the eyes. The director of the movie, Gunashekhar, is known for his visually appealing movies, and Shaakuntalam is no exception.

Shaakuntalam is a breathtaking love story of Shakuntala, daughter of Vishwatra and Meneka, and King Dushyant. The king is then cursed by a sage and, as a result, forget Shakuntala and their child. The story is about how destiny eventually brings together two hearts that purely love each other.
The cast of the movie has done outstanding work on bringing out the characters alive onscreen. The pain and anguish of the two lovers and the purity of their emotions are very well depicted throughout the movie.
