Storyline of the Indian Web Series “Trial by Fire” The story of the web series Trial by Fire is inspired by the popular book “Trial by Fire: The Trial Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy.” It involved two parents, Neelam Krishnamoorthy and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, who lost their children in the fire and are now seeking justice. In reality, around 59 people died in the incidents, and 100 people got injured. Seeing how the couple has to fight for justice for their dead kids is horrific. It depicts the pain and suffering of all those people who lost their loved one in the tragedy but wasn’t served any justice by the law.
Sidharth Jain, one of the producers, shared his feelings by telling, “Cinemas are a part of ordinary life. Many times, we allow our children to watch a movie while our parents shop at the mall. The basic assumption is that cinemas are safe. What transpired in the Uphaar tragedy and how Krishnamoorthys showed exemplary strength is a story that we found stirring and worth telling.
