The movie Padma Shri Kaur Singh is now set to release on 22 July, 2022. The movie is an official biopic of best boxing champion Shri Kaur Singh whose story has never been brought to the big screen and thus many of us might not know about this living legend. Karam Batth is playing the role of the legendary boxer Kaur Singh. Kaur Singh Ji is the only Asian champion and Indian boxer to have fought Muhammad Ali and defeat him.
The actor has explained his hard work towards the role by saying “I had to lose weight to look the part. And as for the story, the team was in constant touch with Kaur Singh Ji. They used to travel from Mumbai to Sangrur district to meet him in person. By the time I came to know about his exemplary feat, the scripting part was over and they were looking for a producer. I decided to take up the project not just as a producer but as an actor too. To adapt to the character of Kaur Singh, my director Vikram Pradhan was my only guide.”
