After a lot of controversies, “The Kerala Story” is finally in theaters now and will be streaming on OTT platforms soon.
“The Kerala Story” is a very controversial movie of 2023 because it includes politics indirectly and also falsely claims that thousands of women from Kerala were being converted to Islam and recruited into ISIS, but this is not the first movie to become politically controversial highlights, movies like The Kashmir Files in 2022 and PK in 2014 were also a part of political controversy and both of them were a hit however, “The Kerala Story” is getting more appreciation because of the realistic acting and the amazing storyline.
Even after getting hate from some of the political parties, this movie proves itself with the first-week collection, which is approx. 43 crore net already. The shows are Housefull, and there is waiting for approx. 2 days and more in some theaters. It’s awful to see such a journey of someone like Shalini and the girls as a result people’s engagement is more than expected. But the question is: Will Shalini Unnikrishnan (Adah Sharma ) and the other 2 girls be going to change their religion and leave their dream of nursing to become ISIS terrorists?
The Storyline Of The Movie The Kerala Story
Fatima is under interrogation with the Afghanistan Authority, who has escaped after being captive in an ISIS hideout for a year. The Authorities asked her why she joined ISIS, then her reply was, “Before asking this, ask How I joined ISIS??”
A flashback…
A girl named Shalini joins the nursing medical college to chase her dream to become a nurse where she meets Geetanjali and Nimah, and another Muslim classmate Asifa they become good friends but after some time Asifa starts brainwashing their minds to catch her mission to recruit them for ISIS. They were still confused about her thoughts and questioning them but Asifa continuously made up their mind and fitted the fear of Allah. It was not easy for planners to convert girls to Islam then they used the emotion of girls and trapped them under fake love angels and sexual intimacy with the aim to impregnate them so that they can be taken to Syria at an ISIS base.
After they got trapped in fake love they agreed to marry those terrorists and just after the marriage, The name Shalini vanished and Fatima took birth which means Shalini is now Fatima. They were taken to ISIS through fake passports and there they were trained as terrorists. But after a year somehow Fatima managed to escape from there and was found by Afghanistan Authority and told them the whole story and also explained that still there are thousands of girls suffering there including Geetanjali and Nimah. Before the movie ends, Fatima is sentenced to life imprisonment.
