Made under the direction of renowned director Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi is a action film that is supposed to be the fourth installment in the Cop Universe which includes Singham, Singham Returns, and Simmba. It stars the popular on-screen couple Akshay Kumar who is currently shooting for the most-awaited movie Hera Pheri 3 , and Katrina Kaif, lastly seen in Phone Bhoot .
Initially, it was scheduled to release on 24 March 2020, but due to Covid, its release was postponed many times. Finally, it was released on the big screen on 5 November 2021 on the festival of lights, Diwali, and got positive reviews from the critics and the audience as well.

The Storyline of the Movie “Sooryavanshi” The movie starts with the 1993 Mumbai blast in which our hero Veer ‘Surya’ lost his parents. The mastermind of this bombing Bilal Ahmad escapes from the hands of the senior Indian police officer, Kabir Shroff, and seeks refuge near the terrorist Omar Hafeez whose only life motive is to destroy India for which he forms a sleeper cell network consisting of 40 terrorists who pretend like Indians and plan more such dangerous attacks.
After losing his parents in the terrorist attack, Surya becomes ambitious about becoming an Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officer to end terrorism in the country. Later, he started working under Kabir Shroff and gets to know that about 1000 kg of RDX was brought to India in 1993, but only 400kg was used, and the 600kg is still present in India somewhere.
Along with his duty toward the nation, Surya tries to resolve the misunderstandings with his wife, Dr. Ria Sooryavanshi but always puts his duty first. He burns the midnight oil to catch Bilal, who only knows where the left RDX is buried but fails because Bilal commits suicide when Surya is just near to catch him.
Now, what will Surya do? How does he find the RDX and catch the members of the sleeper cell? Will he be able to stop the terrorist attack? Forms the rest of the story.
