After much anticipation, Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan hits the theatres. The movie crossed the ₹50 crore mark during the weekend.
Salman Khan ’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was released on 21 April with high expectations.
The movie’s box office collection on the first day was a bit disappointing as the earning stood at ₹15.81 crores. This marked Salman’s second-lowest box office collection on the occasion of Eid. His movie Dabangg had the lowest opening with a box office collection of ₹14.10.
Though the movie did not witness a great opening, it managed to catch up during the weekend. On the second day, it collected ₹25.75 cores, and the total collection on the first weekend stands over ₹65 crores. Hence officially crossing the 50 crores mark.
The movie’s performance on Monday will determine if this family entertainer will make it to the box office hit category. Salman Khan is known to deliver blockbuster hits during Eid.
The multi-starrer did not sit well with the critics as they called the movie unimaginative.
The movie is a remake of the Tamil movie Veeram . Veeram performed well at the box office during its release and just like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan, was not appreciated by the critics.
Apart from Salman Khan, the Hindi remake also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead role and Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill , Siddharth Nigam, Palak Tiwari, and Jassie Gill in pivotal roles.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has been the talk of the town way before its release. The cast put all their efforts to promote the movie. Their candid moments during promotions even led to some controversies.
The actors Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde were said to be dating each other . Though the latter clarified the matter soon after.
The Big Boss season 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill is making her Bollywood debut through this movie. She was linked with her co-actor Raghav Juyal .
Bollywood has high expectations from Bhaijaan and this week’s collection will determine the final verdict for the movie.
