The Storyline of the Dil To Pagal Hai The movie opens up in Mumbai where a young boy named Rahul is the director of a dance company and his team includes Supandi, Raju, Ballu, and Nisha who is secretly in love with him. He is planning to create a new dance-formed music named Maya and on asking about the title, Rahul describes that Maya is a girl who is longing for her true love and believes that one day someone will arrive and take her away. However, Nisha is chosen for the role of Maya.
The scene shifts to Pooja who is an orphan by the child and is raised by her parent’s close friends. One day, Pooja’s childhood bestie and her guardian’s son Ajay visit her from London and take her on a trip to Germany. After coming back when he is about to fly to London, he proposes to Pooja and in a dilemma, she accepts his proposal.
On the other side, Nisha is injured while practicing and the doctor recommends her to take rest and avoid dancing for a few months. Now, Rahul is looking for a new dancer who could get in the shoes of the character Maya. However, he meets Pooja while she is dancing and believes that she is the one he has been looking for. He goes to her and offers to play the role of the main lead in their music act. Will she agree to join Rahul’s group?
