A Tamil remake of Sadak, named Appu, was produced in 2000. Now, the movie has a sequel, named Sadak 2, released on August 28th, 2020, which is available on Disney+Hotstar.

The Storyline of the Movie ‘Sadak’
This movie starts with love when Ravi(Sanjay Dutt seen in Bhuj The Pride of India
Ravi decides to help Pooja (Pooja Bhatt last seen in Chup
He pays an extra amount to Maharani(Sadashiv Amrapurkar also appeared in Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai Hum Sath Saath Hain
After proclaiming his love for Pooja, Ravi promises to return to the brothel every night to save her from interacting with anyone else. Maharani senses Ravi and Pooja’s arrangement and only lets Ravi meet Pooja if they follow her condition.
Ravi pretends to agree but attacks Maharani at the first chance and then runs away with Pooja. His friend Gotya also elopes with his girlfriend Chanda. They seek help from inspector Maharani Irani, who Ravi had interacted with in the past. Chanda and Gotya get married to Ravi and Pooja’s blessings.
However, Inspector Irani betrays them, and all four are attacked, resulting in Chanda and Gotya’s deaths. Ravi and Pooja successfully escape, but Pooja gets captured later, while Ravi is beaten up.
However, Ravi fights back, kills Irani and Maharani, and sets the brothel on fire after rescuing Pooja. Ravi gets imprisoned for his actions. The climax shows Ravi and Pooja happily reunited.
